Getting started for Slack admins

This guide is for the person who installs Echoh in the Slack workspace. Teammates do not need it: they get invited from Slack and never visit the website. See For teammates.

You need: permission to add apps to your Slack workspace, a Google account with your work email, and your own LinkedIn.

The four steps

  1. Create your account. Go to echoh.ai/try and sign in with Google. Your work email makes you the admin for the workspace.
  2. Add Echoh to Slack. Slack shows its consent screen listing what Echoh can do: send messages, respond to the /echoh command, read member profiles, post in public channels. Approve it. This creates your workspace in Echoh with 14 days of the Company plan, no card.
  3. Connect your LinkedIn. LinkedIn's own consent screen appears once. Echoh gets permission to publish and react on your behalf when you click, and to read your name and photo. It never reads your feed or messages.
  4. Invite teammates. Pick people from your Slack directory. Each one gets a Slack DM with a personal 30-second connect link, and an @-mention in the channel you choose so they actually see it. You can also invite from Slack later with /echoh invite @alice @bob.

After setup

  • Run /echoh compose in Slack to draft and publish your first post, then pick who to amplify it to.
  • The dashboard at echoh.ai/app shows posts, reactions, and a “Team connected” meter with a Remind the rest button.
  • Teammates who connect get a Slack message explaining what happens next; everything they do is in Slack.

Choosing a plan

When the trial ends, the workspace moves to Free: up to 5 connected teammates and 20 posts a month. Nothing breaks. The moment the 6th teammate tries to connect, or the 21st post in a month goes out, you are asked to upgrade: Team ($49/month, 25 teammates) or Company ($99/month, 100 teammates). If Echoh gets removed from Slack

Nothing is posted or charged after that. Settings and the invite page show a Reconnect Slack button; approving Slack's consent screen again restores everything on the same workspace.
